Since I was A little kid I was always fascinated by Hollywood, and movies in general. It is truly a fantasy world, a type of escapism from the problems of everyday life. So when a great movie comes along, I do not hesitate to go and check it out right away. My favorites are of course comedies, I mean who does not love to laugh? Laughter is always the best medicine for you. Well needless to say I can not wait to see a new comedy that is coming out called “One For The Money”, starring the very beautiful Katherine Heigl, who plays a character by the name of Stephanie Plum.

Unfortunately, she is out of work and out of cash, like so many people these days. So she is forced to go to her not so trustworthy cousin, for employment. He runs a place called Vinnie’s Bail Bonds. The story gets crazier then that, of course. Even though she has absolutely no training as a police, or bail bondsman, her cousin gives the biggest contract they have in the company at that time, and get this, the guy she is after is a former vice cop himself, but wait, it gets better, he was her old boyfriend who dumped her back in high school. Talk about your awkward situations!
It goes without saying, this basic story arc is just rife with comedic situations. I guess when you get right down to it, is a romantic comedy in a way, but the originality of the story is so out there that even if you do not like those type of movies you will find something funny, and entertaining to enjoy in this fresh new Hollywood comedy. Of course, as she chases her old flame she begins to examine the actual case against him and realizes that a lot of things just do not add up, so she ends up becoming his savior in the end with a possible romantic happy ending, but of course you will have to go and watch the movie and see for yourself.
The police officer she is after is played by the great Irish actor Jason O’Mara, whose career has really started to take off in the last year. As he is currently playing the lead role of Jim Shannon on the hit Fox television show Terra Nova. So if you are a fan of that show I’m more then confident you will enjoy this movie. The movie is a complete adventure – action – comedy rolled into one. Every time Katherine Heigl gets close to a witness to help her in the case they die on her. While this is going on she is getting on the job experience and lessons in bounty hunting from a Ranger, played by Daniel Sunjata.
It goes without saying this movie is one comedic miss adventure after another. It is very hard to come up with a movie (One For The Money) that would appeal to all audiences, but I feel that Lakeshore Entertainment has done just that in this breakout comedy for 2012. This is one of those movies where I was actually laughing during the trailer, and that rarely happens for me. So if your are looking for a really good time, and love going to the movies then I really urge you to go and check out this hilarious comedy with Katherine Heigl.
